Kenwood MultiPro OneTouch Blender & Food Processor FDM73.480SS
Good Points
- Touch controls with digital display and indicator lights.
- Digital display has count up timer function and is used for in-built scale.
- 6 pre-program settings: 3 for the food processor bowl and 3 for the blender.
- Controls illuminate when turned on. Digital display is clear and bright.
- Bowl has grading.
- Very good performance for in-built scale accuracy.
- Weight can be measured on the plastic base (provided), processor bowl or blender goblet using the in-built scale function.
- Processing blade has a spindle attached to it making it easier to grip for assembly and disassembly.
- Accessories provided include: 1.5L plastic blender, spatula, weighing tray, express serve accessory, reversible 4mm slicing/grating disc, knife blade and dough tool.
- Plastic lightweight blender. Jug and lid lock into position, blender won't operate unless lid is locked correctly into place.
- Processing bowl is fairly easy to clean in a domestic sink.
- Very good performance using blender provided.
- Express serve accessory allows the user to grate or slice large quantities without stopping to unload the bowl.
Bad Points
- Touch controls may be slow to respond. If you need to stop processing there's no separate on/off, need to press the same button or another to stop.
- Controls are not intuitive, may need to refer to manual initially. Crowded control panel.
- Small written labelling on controls.
- Lightweight unit has suction feet however can jolt with a heavy load.
- Due to inbuilt scales, best to leave unit out on bench and minimise movement in order to prevent damaging scale.
- Processor bowl is not sealed, overfilling can cause spills onto the unit.
- Some labelling on unit to indicate bowl and lid locking position, however is not clear.
- Separate spindle needs to be attached to the base of the unit first, under the processor bowl. Each time you remove the processor bowl, the spindle remains on base and can be easily knocked.
- Lid can be easily pushed out of locked position when in use, hence stop processing.
- Reversible slicing and shredding blades have limited grip. Care needs to be taken when assembling and disassembling.
- No chute in blender lid, only a small hole for liquids.
- No storage box supplied, some parts can be stored in bowl. Blender needs to be stored separately.
- Stainless steel exterior with black control panel. Stainless steel shows smudges.
- Bowl is not sealed, overfilling can cause spills onto the unit.
- Due to limited grip on the blades, it can be difficult to safely hold blades for cleaning.
- Blender base is not removable and can be difficult to clean and remove a load from around blade.
- Express serve accessory works well however some processed food can accumulate in the lid and not flow out.
- Possible hand access to slicing shredding blades through large chute, no safety lock feature on chute.
- Noisy on high speed.
- Processor blade performs better than the dough blade for pastry.
