Ilve H70CVX
Good Points
- Excellent for low temperature cooking.
- Very good for turn down performance and high temperature cooking.
- Layout positioning is very good, wok burner centre and medium and simmer are positioned at the front.
- Pan support is stable on all burners, except small burner.
- Fairly deep spill catchment with separation from burner to burner.
- All burners have a raised edge so liquid spills are less likely to run into workings.
Bad Points
- Only OK for ease of use.
- Need to use a trivet for small burner, only OK stability for a small pan or coffee pot.
- No wok trivet supplied.
- Only 4 out of 5 pots fit comfortably, there is restricted access to some burners.
- Cast iron trivets are heavy and bulky.
- The trivets have a slightly rough cast iron surface makes it difficult to clean.
- Controls are positioned at the front of the cook top making them accessible to children.
- Labelling is small and it is not obvious which control is for each burner. Confusing positioning of knobs.
- Burner surround is aluminium and can stain easily making it harder to clean.
- No grading on controls.
- Small control with small cross bar which restricts the view of the highest temperature setting.
- Stainless steel surface requires extra attention when cleaning.
- Labelling is printed and may scratch off or fade after prolonged cleaning.
