Fisher & Paykel CG905DX1
Good Points
- Very good overall.
- Excellent for low and high temperature cooking.
- Very good for turn down performance.
- Good for ease of use.
- Wok trivet provided.
- Layout positioning is very good, wok centre and large and simmer are positioned at the front.
- Pan support is good on all burners, except small burner.
- Trivets have a fairly smooth cast iron finish making them easier to clean.
- Labelling is obvious as to which burner is for each control.
- Clear grading line on controls.
- Stainless steel surface has a quick component removal coating making it easier to clean and shows minimal fingerprint marks.
- Burner surround is moulded and fairly easy to clean. All burners have a raised edge so liquid spills are less likely to run into workings.
Bad Points
- Need to use a trivet for small burner, only OK stability for a small pan or coffee pot.
- Only 4 out of 5 pots fit comfortably, there is restricted access to some burners.
- Cast iron trivets are fairly heavy, large and bulky.
- Controls are positioned at the front of the cook top making them accessible to children.
- Shallow spill catchment and no separation from burner to burner.
- Labelling is printed and may scratch off or fade after prolonged cleaning.
