Good Points
- Easy to clean, all components dishwasher safe except the spindle and its lock.
- Comprehensive instruction booklet with a recipe book.
- Safety feature which prevents blending or puréeing hot food such as soups at the highest speed to avoid scalding by the splashed food.
- Combination of stainless steel and plastic around the base help to insulate the base.
- Spindle is easy to remove to allow for cleaning entire base of jug and for placing in dishwasher.
- Lid is double layered, inner disc supports the rubber seal and can be separated for cleaning.
Bad Points
- This model is not recommended as it fails safety requirements: there is no safety cut off for speed when heating above 60°C.
- Only OK for ease of use.
- Difficult to grip jug when pouring out contents and using spatula at same time.
- Ingredients can splash out from the chute if measuring cup / guard are not in position.
- Difficult to get a comfortable grip when pouring out the load due to the handles on the bowl.
- During steaming condensation builds up under the lid which can drip onto unit and bench when lid is removed.
- Some of the recipes need to be adjusted as they did not perform so well when following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Strong smelling foods can leave the jug smelling need to use bicarb soda to remove any odours.
- Limited in basic recipes, for easier adapting of own recipes.
- Tefal have advised us that they will be modifying the recipe book and will notify customers of the errors in some of the recipes. Updated recipes are online.
- Food can accumulate up inside the blade shaft which can be difficult to clean.
- Butterfly whisk can be difficult to clean with food getting in cracks and crevices.
- Lots of cracks and crevices around the bowl.
- Lid has a lot of cracks and crevices when food can accumulate.
- No cord storage.
