Good Points
- Excellent overall.
- Excellent results for performance.
- Very easy to clean mixing bowl and blade. All parts dishwasher safe.
- Automated on-screen recipes and guided cooking.
- Comprehensive user manual with diagrams and a cookbook with an extensive range of recipes.
- Integrated scales that can be used as you go.
- Locking arms automatically close and open.
- Nutritional information for each recipe. Tip and recipes can be saved to your favourites.
- Child lock on controls.
- Parts fit easily and there are not too many parts.
- Splash guard provided.
- Wi-Fi connectivity bult-in allows user to access and browse over 50,000 using Thermomix recipe platform Cookidoo ($49 per year).
- 120 recipes preprogrammed into TM6.
- Excellent result for making caramel toffee.
Bad Points
- While this Thermomix has a number of new safety features including a temperature cut out at high speeds, it still allows you to blend at high speeds when the liquid inside could still be hot.
- Rubber seal inside the lid is not removable. If it becomes damaged or deteriorates the whole lid will need to be replaced.
- Can be difficult to scrape thick mixtures from around the blade.
- Can trap food odours, need to soak jug with bicarb soda after cooking strong smelling foods.
- Touch controls are sensitive.
- Some browning may occur inside the jug when using the heat settings over time can be removed with soaking of vinegar and water.
