Bad points

Bad Points

  • Only OK for ease of use.
  • You need pressure to lock the lid in place. The lid can jam on, and it's difficult to unlock if the lid is locked in incorrectly (this may be due to being new).
  • Noisy and annoying when cooking for a period of time.
  • Removing the load especially batters and cake mixtures can be difficult to scrape around the blade but there is a method that makes it a little easier.
  • During steaming condensation builds up under the lid when removing water can drip onto unit and bench.
  • Scales are sensitive and respond a little slowly so you need to slowly add the ingredients and wait for it to balance.
  • Rubber seal around lid is removable, need to remove and replace for cleaning.
  • No exposed electricals so jug can be placed on the unit wet.
  • Seals on jug lid and steamer tray may need replacing over time.
  • Unit can move and vibrate on the bench when mixing a heavy load. Need to keep watch during mixing.
  • Standby mode – switches to standby after only a few minutes which can be annoying.
  • Some of the mixture is wasted around the blade and bottom of the jug as it is difficult to remove.
  • Some of the recipes need to be adjusted as they performed not so well following the manufactures instructions.
  • Strong smelling foods can leave the jug smelling; need to use bicarb soda after cooking strong smelling foods to remove odours.
