Good Points
- The blades are easy to assemble and disassemble.
- The unit is very stable on bench during operation with suction feet.
- The cooking time, temperature and speed can be adjusted at any time without the need to stop the machine.
- Exterior has very few cracks and crevices; easy to wipe over smooth surfaces.
- Stabilising feet work as shock absorbers and steady the machine during operation, although the machine does vibrate at high speed .
- Graded measurements inside jug.
- Control panel is removable, for sharing recipes and using in other Super Cook machines.
- When machine is paused, time and speed settings will keep.
- Audible feedback when timer is near complete as well as at completion of time.
- All parts are dishwasher safe.
Bad Points
- Digital display can be difficult to read unless at eye level.
- Only OK to use controls, buttons are not clearly labelled, control panel, temperature and speed dial are all very small.
- Quite noisy during operation on a higher speed.
- Jug can become hot during cooking.
- No cord storage.
- Baked-on food can be difficult to clean from the bottom of the jug.
- Lid can be a little stiff to close and open.
- Hard to distinguish between the stirrer and the chopping blade (chopping blade has a small area where the blade is quite sharp).
- Recipe book is limited and does not include basic recipes.
- Boiling liquids can bubble up out of the lid hole around the measuring cup and splash onto the bench.
- Initial recipe collection on SD card is limited, however you have the option to download and add more online.
- Unable to utilise and refer to the screen / recipe if the lid is removed while adding ingredients or scraping down the bowl.
- Lid rubber seal is removable. If not positioned properly the lid is difficult to lock in place.
- Minimal grip on lid makes it difficult to slide lid into lock and unlock position.
- Seals on jug lid and steamer tray may need replacing over time.
- Ingredients can splash out from the chute if measuring cup / guard in not in position.
- Removing the load especially batters and cake mixtures can be difficult to scrape around the blade and the side walls as it has ridges. And it is diffcult to get in and under the blade.
- Scales provided tilt when tareing or selecting measuring unit. Small surface area of scales do not fit the jug size and in turn covers the digital display.
- Scales can be positioned on left side of unit (above the controls) however when the machine vibrates they can fall off.
- Control panel will only operate if in position inside machine.
- When following a programmed recipe, you will need to measure out all of the ingredients prior to commencing the method. In order to revisit the ingredients, can you arrow back, however moving forward the machine will prompt you to repeat the already completed steps / processes.
- At the end of a programmed recipe the machine will beep to indicate the set time is complete however the machine will not shut off unless manually done so.
- Can be difficult to navigate between Yumi Machine and website to add recipes from the collection and creating your own.
- Dough and batters can be difficult to clean from blade although washing the jug and blade is easy if you add water and detergent and run through a cycle.
- Some cracks and crevices in lid where food and liquid can become trapped.
- Strong smelling foods can leave the jug smelling; need bicarb soda to remove any odours.
