Good points

Good Points

  • Very good for cooking performance.

  • Unit has inbuilt scales. Inbuilt scales have a fairly good surface area. Cooking jug can be placed directly onto scales.
  • Very good performance for scale accuracy.
  • Clear written labelling above each control button.
  • The cooking time, temperature and speed can be adjusted at any time without the need to stop the machine.
  • Machine has a separate On/Off switch.
  • Recipe book provided with some recipes plus guide that helps the user to convert their own recipes to use in the thermo cooker, with reference to speeds, time, steaming, pureeing and dough function.
  • Has a double locking lid.
  • Blade jacket supplied and can be used to protect from sharp blade when not in use.
  • Safety feature; maximum processing speed is level 8 when heating food to 60°C or above.

Bad points

Bad Points

  • Only OK for ease of use.
  • No cord storage.
  • Baked-on food can be difficult to clean from the bottom of the jug.
  • Need to refer to manual initially and to reference auto program numbers.
  • Can be difficult to scrape out ingredients around blade.
  • White plastic exterior may stain over time.
  • Controls are not sealed, some cracks and crevices can trap dirt and grime.
  • User would need a fine or small cleaning brush to help clean around and under the blade.
  • Spatula can be used through chute in lid to help manipulate food during processing. Spatula feels a little short and doesn't always reach the food.
  • Manufacturer's recipe for mushroom risotto gave an overcooked result. Therefore we tested using our recipe which resulted in a better score.
  • Manufacturer's recipe for mayonnaise attempted using the units Auto Program, which resulted in a runny consistency. A better result can be achieved when processing manually.
  • Cooking bowl can become dangerously hot when using the heating function.
  • Digital display is small and crowded.
