A ride-on mower is no lightweight purchase, and with so many options to consider it can be hard to pick one that’s easy to operate and good at actually cutting the grass.
Got a smaller lawn? Head to our petrol or electric lawn mowers reviews for the best lawnmower for your yard.
Read our buying guide to see if a ride-on’s right for you, and read how we test if you’re interested in the details of our rigorous testing process.
We review tractor-type and zero-turn ride-on mowers priced from $1699 to $6325.
Our rigorous testing helps you choose the model that’s:
- best for mowing
- best for mulching (for models with this option)
- the easiest to use
Where are Cox and Greenfield Ride on mower models?
We survey each manufacturer prior to testing so we know which products will be available by the time we publish. Cox didn’t respond to our survey, and Greenfield said they don’t distribute to New Zealand, where we conduct our testing. We’ll check again the next time we test.
