  • Excellent result for making caramel toffee, sous vide salmon and boiling eggs.
  • Excellent result for cooking white rice using steaming basket.
  • Unable to go over speed 6 when using any temperature setting.
  • Vents on chute allows for steam to escape and prevent build up of pressure when cooking hot food and liquid.
  • Automatic switch off after 15 minutes.
  • The screen remains responsive even when greasy or used with wet hands.
  • There are useful features such as weekly meal planning, shopping list feature, bookmark recipes and suggested recipes.
  • When using manual mode, display will prompt the user as well as provide tips on capacity, modes, speeds and accessories.
  • Spatula provided makes it easy to scrape around sides of mixing bowl. The spatula also has a hook which can be used to remove the simmering basket from the mixing bowl when hot.
Bad points

Bad Points

  • Turbo mode (which is the pulse function) is best used for hard ingredients, soft vegetables can become mushy.
  • The rubber seal on lid is not removable which makes it easy to assemble but lid may need replacing if rubber seal is damaged or deteriorated.
  • Can be difficult to scrape thick mixtures from under the blade.
  • Unable to view the food through the chute on lid.
  • The blade is OK to clean, can be difficult to remove food from under the blade, may need to use the brush.
  • Some browning may occur inside the jug over time, however can be removed with soaking of vinegar and water.
  • Borderline result for blending kale.
  • Borderline result for whisking egg whites for meringues.
  • Max speed setting using whisk attachment is speed 4, however this can be overridden manually and may cause damage to whisk and mixing bowl.
  • Very noisy on max speed.
  • Possible to get a better result for short crust pastry and goulash by adjusting the Cookidoo recipe.
