Bad points

Bad Points

  • This model is not recommended as it fails safety requirements: there is no safety cut off for speed when heating above 60°C when using the mixing blade. However, it will prevent you from using high speeds when using the stirring attachment.
  • Removing the smaller steamer basket can be dangerous if you put your hand in the centre, as it can be very hot.
  • Ingredients can become trapped in the spindle of the blade.
  • Large quanities cover the blade, making it messy to remove.
  • Ingredients can splash out from the chute if measuring cup / guard not in position.
  • When popping lid off to open, the measuring guard can fall out.
  • When scraping around the bowl, the spatula could get caught on the blade.
  • No pouring lip on jug which makes it messy when emptying contents from jug.
  • Jug is quite large and heavy and with heat resistant side handles. Difficult to grip jug when pouring out contents and using spatula at same time.
  • Strong smelling foods can leave the jug smelling; need to use bicarb soda to remove any odours.
  • No scales included.
  • When placing the jug in the dishwasher upside down, water collects in the base.
  • The spindle / drive accumulates food in crevices which can be difficult to remove.
  • During steaming condensation builds up under the lid when removing water can drip onto unit and bench.
  • Some of the recipes need to be adjusted as they performed not so well following the manufactures instructions.
  • Machine makes high pitch ringing sound when operating.
  • Baked-on food can be difficult to clean from the bottom of the jug.
