  • Large chute, with chute cap which locks onto lid.
  • Blade shaft can be easily removed using the chute lid as a tool to grip.
  • Intermittent speeds for delicate mixtures.
  • Comprehensive instruction booklet with a recipe book and online App updating recipes regularly.
  • Ability to shred and slice using food processor attachment, food processor attachment with 3 sized bowls with shredding and slicing discs.
  • The small pusher in the processing lid has measuring grading.
  • Bowl can heat without speed function.
  • Double wall metal bowl minimised external temp of jug.
  • Clear grading inside jug.
  • Transparent lid for viewing and easy to remove and lift out.
  • Two rubber handles on lid and large plastic side handle on jug.
  • Pre programmed settings are easy to follow however may still need to refer to recipe book initially.

Bad points

Bad Points

  • This model is not recommended as it fails safety requirements: there is a safety cut out when using the programs, but no safety cut off for speed when heating above 60°C on EXPERT mode
  • Cook Expert needs to be updated before use with the new functionality using a USB.
  • Can be difficult to grip with load while pouring.
  • No pouring lip makes pouring difficult.
  • When removing the lid after cooking, condensation builds up and can drip onto bench and unit, care needs to be taken that no liquid spill into vents at the back of the unit.
  • Metal area of chute lid can become dangerously hot.
  • Scales not integrated, touch controls on scales can become greasy and may not respond.
  • Seal on lid may need to be replaced over time.
  • Two spatulas provided cannot be used for distribution of load when processing as they do not have a protective guard.
  • Jug is quite large and heavy and with heat resistant side handles – Difficult to grip jug when pouring out contents and using spatula at same time.
  • Strong smelling foods can leave the jug smelling need to use bicarb soda to remove any odours.
  • Baked-on food can be difficult to clean from the bottom of the jug.
  • Food can accumulate up inside the blade shaft which can be difficult to clean.
  • Stainless steel bowl is fairly easy to clean – may require extra effort as it is not finger print resistant.
  • Butterfly whisk can be difficult to clean with food getting in cracks and crevices.
  • Large jug may not be able to fit comfortably in a domestic sink.
  • On/off switch at back of unit, not sealed.
  • Need to bend down to read the controls, although large controls and labelling helps.
  • Still need to reference cook book when using automated programs as you are not prompted with what ingredients to add.
  • Auto button is the start button however not obvious.
  • No inbuilt recipes, App to download with a community base and recipes added regularly home users can add recipes to be tested with the possibility of having their recipe published on the site.
  • Very heavy unit.
