Good points

Good Points

  •   Parking mode (requires hardwiring to power)
  •   Can shoot still photos
  •   Can stamp vehicle speed and GPS location onto video
  •   Large speedo display, redlight and speed camera warnings
  •   Cable clips included
  •   Easy to secure and release camera from its mount
  •   Good daylight picture score
Bad points

Bad Points

  •   Camera can only be adjusted in the vertical plane
  •   Poor onboard controls
  •   Initial test unit lost some recordings and others would not play back. A firmware update supplied by Uniden resulted in the dashcam becoming unusable as the screen would not come on. A second test unit fitted with a High Endurance microSD card did not suffer the same issue. The instructions do not specifically recommend a particular brand or 'High Endurance' card.
  •   When powered on after heat test, we were prompted to re-format the microSD card.
