Good Points
- Air fryer with steamer function.
- Excellent result for steaming broccoli using steam function.
- Digital display with touch controls.
- Pre-programmed settings are symbols, may need to refer to the instruction manual initially.
- Pre-programmed settings have adjustable time and temperature plus variable temperatures manual setting.
- Large capacity, accommodates a small whole chicken.
- Audible feedback response to control selection and audible response to end of cooking.
- Large comfortable handle is easy to grip.
- Water tank for the steam function sits on top of the unit easy to access remove and refill.
- Condensation tray at front of the unit, easy to access, remove and replace. Also small condensation cap at back of the unit, easy to access.
- Cook with air fryer and steam interchangeably, need to set each function before starting.
- Fairly comprehensive instructions with temperature setting guide and recipe booklet.
Bad Points
- No viewing window.
- Drawer is reasonably heavy with load.
- Controls may not be intuitive, need to refer to the instruction manual initially.
- Large basket /drawer is only OK to clean in a domestic sink, may require extra effort or soaking to remove any baked on residue.
- Exterior has some stainless steel trim ok to clean some cracks and crevices to trap residue.
- Unit is large and tall. May not fit easily into a cupboard, takes up bench space. Can be awkward to lift and move, no handles to assist in lifting.
- Touch control display panel needs to be free from grease as it may not respond.
- Element can be difficult to clean around exposed element. No access to the fan, overtime residue can build up around the fan, may cause residue to burn on and cause the unit to expel unpleasant odours and smoke during use.
- No prompt to shake or turn the food.
- Cooling fan continues to run after cooking time ends (approx. 20 seconds), can be annoying if you need to wait to restart.
- Unable to do combination steam and air fryer cooking.
- The water tank needs to be cleaned and descaled after 20 hours of use. There is self cleaning instructions for this and a water scale cleaning function on the control panel.
