Visiondrive VD-1600HD
Good Points
- Easy to adjust the settings using the PC-based software
- Very easy to view the recordings using the supplied PC-based software
- Good instructions
- GPS-based map location and speed are recorded
- Cable clips supplied
Bad Points
- Borderline picture quality in daylight
- No USB port for accessing the recordings – the memory card needs to be taken out, which is fiddly, and read using a card reader plugged to a PC
- The files in the supplied memory card needs to be backed up to a PC before initial use so they can be restored in case the memory card becomes corrupted, and you may have to contact the supplier in case you missed this important step
- The recording files are in a format that won't play back readily using an ordinary PC video software unless they're converted first, through a slow process, using the supplied software
