Tern's HSD P5i is a neat little cargo carrier that is perfeclty suited to carrying an extra passenger at the back. A padded seat, rear handle bar, foot rests, and an open cage design allow even an adult passenger to sit at the back relatively easily, and the mid-drive Bosch motor can supply plenty of power to propel both rider and passenger up a hill reasonably easily. A belt is drives the rear wheel instead of a chain, while the gears are inside the rear hub, which makes the bike very neat at the back. It handles very well and is very comfortable to ride overall, but you just have to get used to twisting the right grip in order to change gears.
