Good Points

  • Thermometer in hood is accurate.
  • Fairly Comprehensive instructions. User can gain access to recipes and user guide digitally, by scanning QR code on paperwork provided with the BBQ.
  • Good open access to food, no problem with smoke being directed into face.
  • Portable without stand.
  • Hooks for utensils and an area at the front to hang hotplate when not in use.
  • No assembly required for BBQ.
  • Space for hands to pickup and lift, BBQ is fairly heavy.
  • The thermostat temperature control is removable when cleaning and storing the BBQ.
  • The dial control is fairly easy to comprehend with an on indicator light the settings are symbols and are around the dial for easy viewing.
  • Fairly long electrical cord.
  • Small fat tray that sits under the BBQ. Optional foil disposable trays can be inserted into drip tray, easy to remove.
  • Smoke infusion and steam setting with a smoke box/ steamer tray included.
  • Exterior surface of hood is enamel coated, easy to wipe over, and stand is easy to wipe over.
  • 5 year warranty on cookbox, lid, burner tubes, grills and plastic components.
  • Chargrill separated into two pieces and can be easy to clean in a domestic sink.
Bad points

Bad Points

  • No side panels to protect from drafts. Element sits low so mostly protected from the elements.
  • Hood can become dangerously hot.
  • Option for a half hotplate needs to be purchased separately. (not available at time of testing)
  • Stand is an additional extra and purchased separately. Stand does not have any wheels.
  • Price does not include trolley, optional extra.
  • Sharp edges around stainless steel border of cooking plate.
  • If stand not purchased the BBQ needs to sit on a heat resistant bench with access to a power point.
  • The BBQ has some crevices to trap grease, can be difficult to clean but OK access to all areas. clean, around elements, can be difficult.
  • Need to have access to a power outlet to operate.
  • Easy access to drip tray, accessible from the front of BBQ.
  • Small drip tray, will need to be cleaned regularly, foil trays available to fit in the drip tray.
