Good Points

- Good instructions for assembly, can take 1 – 1.5 hours for 2 people to assemble. Allen key provided, need Phillips screwdriver.

- Smoker connects via Bluetooth to the 'Everdure by Heston Blumenthal' App. App is fairly easy to use it gives the user tips and guides on cooks. Different options and guides for different meats.
- Accessories included with BBQ – 4 temperature probes, 1 grill grabber, 1 water container, 2 cast iron grills, 1 grill probe clip, 1 (33cm) pizza stone, 1 charcoal tongs, 2 stainless steel grills.
- Chargrill plates are divided easy to fit into a domestic sink. A non stick coating on plates easier to clean.
- Easy to remove and clean half charcoal grates.
Bad Points
- No side panels to protect food and flame from drafts but the element and charcoal grate sits low.
- No hotplate supplied.
- The on/off control may not respond when touched, touch controls are not very responsive, especially if user has greasy or wet hands.
- Need to have access to power for the controls and the element. Retractable cord is only 1.2 metres in length so the power outlet would need to be close to the unit.
- Adding extra charcoal during cooking through the fuel supply window using the tongs supplied is difficult, the tongs are difficult to use when picking up the charcoal and using the tongs to distribute the charcoal around through the window is difficult.
- Large vent on the lid closes every time you open the smoker lid. Need to reset vent position every time after opening.
- To open the hood a button needs to be pressed to release the hood, this can become annoying during cooking.
- The fuel cap can be fiddly to position and can become jammed if incorrectly placed.
- The Smoker / BBQ is not mobile. The unit is awkward to lift for one person, the main body can be removed from the stand to make it easier.
- Internal black enamel bucket is removable, can be awkward to clean in a domestic sink, may need a soaking after grilling fatty foods.
- Internally the top air vent can be difficult to clean, requires a course brush to clean blackened areas. The rest of the interior is fairly easy to clean with hot soapy water, mostly smooth surfaces.
- The hood is very heavy although fairly stable when positioned all the way back. There is no locking device if it is not pushed all the way back it may fall shut.
- Relatively expensive running costs.
- Controls and electrical ignition require access to a power point.
