Smeg CS6GMXA
Good Points
- Cooktop trivets are stable with non-slip feet and divided into two pieces.
- Very good positioning of burners – wok burner is at the front left and simmer is front right.
- Wok and small trivets supplied.
- The trivets have a fairly smooth cast iron surface which makes it a little easier to clean.
- Trivets are divided into two, making them easier to clean in a domestic sink.
- The oven shelves have stoppers to prevent the shelves from being accidentally pulled out.
Bad Points
- Only OK cooktop stability for a small pan or coffee pot if not using the trivet.
- Burner is surrounded by an aluminium skirt, which can stain and be difficult to clean.
- Cast iron trivets are heavy, bulky.
- May be a little confusing as to which control is for which burner.
- Labelling around control dials may fade over time.
- Grill tray slides into shelf support and has a stopper but does not prevent the tray from being pulled out accidentally.
- Grill rolls out roughly, but far enough to manipulate the food.
- Back area of oven has some cracks and crevices – difficult to clean.
- Gap between oven door and glass can trap condensation.
- Oven control labelling may fade over time.
- Manual temperature control dial may not be accurate.
- May need to refer to the manual initially to set the timers/clock.
- No grading on oven temperature dial.
- No separate 'on' indicator light.
- Oven door is heavy and may not stay in position.
