Good Points
- Excellent results for kale chips, dehydrating beef jerky, semi-dried tomatoes.
- Digital display is clear and bright with sealed press controls, easy to access.
- Shelves slide easily into unit.
- Shelves can fit fairly easily in a domestic sink or dishwasher.
- Automatic shut off function.
- Sealed controls easy to wipe over.
- Precise temperatures.
- Cooking temperature guide on the controls , for ease of reference.
Bad Points
- Relatively long dehydrating times.
- Some crevices around controls can trap residue.
- Removable shelves are stainless steel, lots of crevices.
- OK to wipe out interior, back wall has a metal grate in front of the fan, can be difficult to clean back wall if needed to.
- Firm pressure required to change the settings for time and temperature.
- No audible sound when timer ends.
- The door has a viewing window but you can only view the food at the front of the shelves.
- Large unit takes up a lot of bench space does not easily fit into a cupboard would need to have a specific place to store.
- May need to remove the shelf above each tray when dehydrating larger pieces of food such as tomatoes.
