ASUS' Zenbook 14 is a light and airy 14-inch laptop that is an indicator of the direction other vendors will take their laptops in the near future. It's the first laptop we've seen that doesn't have a built-in audio jack, ASUS preferring instead to offer a USB-C adapter for this function. It comes with two USB-C ports, both of which are of the fast Thunderbolt specification, but it does also include a full-sized HDMI, for faster connection to an external screen. Wi-Fi is also faster than usual, with the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard (802.11ax) included, rather than Wi-Fi 5. Despite it being a 14-inch model, it looks and feels closer to a 13-inch model because of its slim screen bezel and relatively light weight.
