A white chassis gives the ASUS E406 a bit of a fresh look compared to most other laptop's, but don't expect it to be quick. It has a modest CPU that will make the system feel sluggish at times, and especially when multitasking. It can be used only for basic Web and office document tasks. The screen also has narrow viewing angles, and all ports are located on one side of the unit, which could be annoying for some users. It comes with Windows 10 S Mode by default, which can only run vetted apps from the Microsoft Store, but can be switched to Windows 10 Home, which removes the app restrictions.
