Koko & Scar Cot
Good Points
- One dropside.
- Teething strips.
Bad Points
- Serious safety failure: The cot is able to be installed in more than two positions which is not permitted by the standard.
- Serious safety failure: Upper corners of the cot ends could snag onto clothing, posing a strangulation hazard once the baby is able to sit and stand upright.
- Serious safety failure: Limb entrapment hazards in certain openings including the gaps between the bottom bar of the cot side and the adjacent underside of the bar/rail of the mattress base when the mattress base is in the mid-upper position, and between some bars of the mattress base.
- Minor safety failure: The plugs supplied to full unused holes for mattress base positions cannot be secured in place, and without the plugs there is a finger entrapment hazard.
- Minor safety failure: Finger or limb entrapment hazards were found at certain locations between the bottom rail of the dropside and the mattress base (measured horizontally with the mattress base in the lower position and with the dropside closed).
- Very minor failure of information requirements.
- Hard to assemble.
- Poor surface finish, with several cracks, gaps in joints, painting defects, and rough and unclean surfaces.
