Phil & Teds Dash V6 with Double kit V6
Good Points
- Main seat suitable for newborn.
- Adjustable backrest recline on main seat, and adjustable seat recline on second seat.
- Second seat reversible direction on certain configurations with the main seat.
- Adjustable handle height.
Bad Points
- Serious safety failures: 1. The sliding levers for the locking devices are easy to operate and are accessible and could be within reach of the child in the second seat when it's behind the main seat. 2. When the second seat is behind the main seat and when the fabric at the rear of the canopy of the second seat is detached from the head end, there is a head entrapment risk between the canopy support arch and seat. 3. There's an entrapment hazard when the second seat is in front of the main seat at the opening between the seating surface of the main seat and the legrest of the second seat. 4. The stroller tipped rearward when the main seat is upright and not loaded and the second seat is behind the main seat, at its maximum recline and loaded. The manufactuer says they have third party test certificates stating compliance to the standard.
- Minor safety failures: 1. The height of the shoulder straps on the backrest is fixed to one height, which may be too high and not adjustable to lower heights to suit a smaller child; which would result in a loose fitting harness. The waist straps are also not attached to the frame of the stroller in such a way that would effectively keep the child in a seated position; which would result in the child being able to lean forward a lot or push themselves upwards. 2. Closing gaps at a number of joints can cause a scissoring and/or pinching hazards to the person folding and/or unfolding the stroller. The manufactuer says they have third party test certificates stating compliance to the standard.
- Very minor failure of information requirements.
- Very hard to operate the harness on the rear seat due to confinedness.
- The 4 buckle tongues could be inadvertently inserted into the wrong buckle slots.
- Fixed (not adjustable) shoulder straps heights.
- Fiddly to adjust the shoulder straps lengths on the second seat.
- Very fiddly to operate the set of zippers and straps for adjusting the main seat backrest recline.
- The brake pedal is obscured when the rear seat is reclined.
- Main stroller is bulky and feels heavy when folded.
- Certain configurations of the front and rear seats could limit the seats and backrests number of recline positions.
- The locking tabs on the length adjusters for the shoulder straps are too easy to release inadvertently and might cause the shild to be loosely harnessed.
- Very limited space between the main seat and the second seat.
- Flimsy fenders over the rear wheels, and they detach easily.
- The front bar could be attached with the left and right connectors on the wrong sides, such that the bar could swivel down towards the seating surface and create a head or neck entrapment gap.
