Good Points
- Excellent for cooking additional tests – fish and kebabs.
- Relatively cheap.
- Good open access to food.
- Smoke is not directed into your face, this is dependent on wind direction.
- No sharp edges.
- No assembly required.
- Includes tongs.
- Portable bench top BBQ, easy to store.
- Easy to clean.
- Coals take around 30 minutes to heat when using a chimney starter.
- Two air vents at the front of the Hibachi can be easily opened or closed to help control heat.
Bad Points
- No side tables.
- Grill plate only.
- No side panels to protect the food from drafts.
- No hood.
- Need to lift chargrill if adding more charcoal. Can be a little awkward if food is cooking on the grill.
- Relatively high running costs using Binchotan charcoal compared to using regular charcoal.
- Thin metal side handles, not very comfortable to grip.
- Need to ensure meat size and shape is suitable for the surface area under the charcoal.
- Exterior closest to charcoal can become dangerously hot.
- Delicate foods can stick to the grill rack.
