Denis Gallagher is a Senior project officer for Digital home products and also works on test projects for the laundry and fridge labs. He produces tests for gadgets, phones, cameras and home entertainment gear as well as TVs, washing machines, dishwashers and fridges.  Previously at CHOICE, Denis worked as a Content producer for digital products. Prior to CHOICE, Denis worked as an Assistant editor on Golf Australia magazine and Editor for Multimedia and Videocamera magazine.  Denis has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales and a Diploma of Journalism from Macleay College. Chris Barnes is a Senior Project Officer. He manages the product reviews that are done outside of CHOICE with external labs or data sources. This includes solar panels, electric heaters, air purifiers and detergents.  Chris also manages our testing services through our commercial arm, Test Research, and he is CHOICE's NATA authorised representative for our lab's formal accreditations.  Chris is involved with the standards committee for air conditioners. And he works with government and industry in areas such as product safety and regulation.  In over 20 years at CHOICE, Chris has managed lab teams for a wide range of products, including children's products, kitchen appliances, laundry appliances, garden power tools and more. He went on to become a senior test coordinator in the digital home team and our resident expert on TVs, audio/visual and various other products such as car GPS and phones for seniors. Before CHOICE, Scott worked in IT for 22 years, mostly as a software engineer and team leader for a large insurance company. He also ran his own business, providing in-home PC and home-theatre support. His passions include myth-busting, anime, photography, and collecting vintage telephones and scientific hardware – he has an attic museum at home. He's also passionate about protecting his personal ID and data, so he doesn't have LinkedIn or Twitter accounts.
