The Toshiba Portege has long been a compelling ultraportable for office workers, and the X20W, with its tablet-convertible form factor, is even more interesting. It's slim and light (despite packing a Core i7 CPU), and its touchscreen has a matte finish, which is desirable for use under typical office lighting conditions. Under load, its fan will make a lot of noise as the base gets warm, so have your headphones handy and rest it on a desk. It only has one USB 3.0 port and one USB-C port, but a USB-C hub is supplied so you can plug in the charger, a screen, and another USB device. Note: This laptop's performance is not directly comparable to current products due to it being tested with an older version of our benchmark.
