- Lid can be lifted one handed.
- Plastic insert is removable for cleaning , easy to clean in a domestic sink.
- Metal exterior easy to wipe over, avoid washing to reduce risk of rusting.
- Easy to add food waste.
Bad Points
- Medium round footprint may encroach on benchtop workspace.
- Wire-like handle only OK to hold.
- Lid not hinged.
- Emptying contents is only OK. Need to remove plastic insert – nothing to grip to pull out. Need some finger strength when it's full.
- Some crevices to accumulate dirt – around rolled metal rim, lid and inside metal base.
- Painted metal exterior may rust over time – particularly if paint chips off.
- Hand wash only.
- Filter holds onto smells and needs to be washed. May still smell after handwashing.
- Ongoing filter replacement cost.
