Haier HCI905FTB3
Good Points
- Very good cooking zone selection and element positioning.
- 6 cooking zones – 1 small, 1 medium, 1 extra large , 1 flexi zone left side, which can be used as 2 independent hotplates or as a single zone to accommodate a rectangular/oval cooking pan.
- 6 separate controls for each cooking zone.
- No edge. Touch controls easy to wipe over and clean.
- Glass surface has a non-slip film so it is less likely for pans to slide or move easily when stirring. Pans must be lifted to move.
Bad Points
- Flexi zone may not have even heat distribution.
- May not be obvious as to which control for each cooking zone. Labelling is not clear but digital display is clear and bright.
- No separate ON indicator light.
- Noticeably noisy cooling fan turns on when cooking zone is used, turns off approximately 1 minute after cooktop is turned off.
- No separate ON indicator light.
- On/Off control is not obvious.
- Controls are symbols, can be confusing at first. Need to refer to the manual initially.
- Accommodates only 5 of 6 cooking zones at the same time.
- Controls must be kept free of grease and moisture otherwise they will not respond to touch.
