Euromaid IMZ96
Good Points
- Very good cooking zone selection and element positioning.
- 4 large cooking zones can be used as individual zones or 2 separate flexi zones or 1 extra large cooking zone combining the 4 zones. Another extra large flexi zone can be used as 2 independent cooking zones or as one single to accommodate a rectangular/oval cooking pan.
- 6 separate controls for each cooking zone.
- Has 6 cooking zones that can be used at the same time.
- Cooking zone dimensions are obvious.
- No edge. Touch controls easy to wipe over and clean.
Bad Points
- Flexi zone may not have even heat distribution.
- May not be obvious as to which control for each cooking zone.
- Labelling can be difficult to comprehend but the digital display is clear and bright.
- Pan slides easily on glass surface when stirring, need to keep pan within the cooking zone.
- Noticeably noisy cooling fan turns on when cooking zone is used and turns off approximately 1 minute after cooktop is turned off.
- No separate ON indicator light.
- Each zone has it's own control settings that are not very obvious initially. Need to touch or slide finger along the grading, which is not obvious, no number labelling, just a series of dots. Need to refer to the manual initially.
- This cooktop requires 2 lead connections, possibly more costly.
- Controls must be kept free of grease and moisture otherwise they will not respond to touch.
