Submission on the Review of the Model Defamation Provisions
Julia Steward was the head of policy and government relations at CHOICE from 2019 to 2022. She worked across all of CHOICE's policy areas, but specialised in people's rights under the Australian Consumer Law, general consumer affairs, data and technology, and any legal issues that would come up in our work. Before she joined CHOICE, Julia worked as a policy director for the Consumer Affairs Minister, and as a policy advisor to the NSW Attorney General. A qualified lawyer, she also worked in corporate law firms and the community legal sector.
