The Como uses a lower torque version of the drive system fitted to the Vado 4.0, but on a more upright bike with a step-through frame. Don't be fooled by its relaxed aesthetic, we thought the Como rode better at speed than many full-frame models, and you wouldn't be limited to gentle jaunts through town. The riding position is comfortable and all our testers felt confident on it. It's an imposing bike, which helps command space on the roads and shared paths, but doesn't get unwieldy in tight spaces. The motor pushes you smoothly to 32km/h, and the Comos stiff frame and comfortable riding position make it a pleasure to pedal up hills, though the lower motor torque means it needs more rider effort than the Vado. There's no suspension fork, but its large-volume tyres help cushion the blows from rough paths. The Como doesn't come with mudguards or a luggage rack, which is a disappointment, but these can be fitted at extra cost. The motor controls are simple and very easy to use. You can even pair the bike to your phone and use an app to adjust assistance settings and record your rides. Some of our testers picked this as their favourite bike due to its funky good looks, excellent drive system and all-round versatility.
