iiNet broadband review

iiNet is one of the largest internet service providers (ISPs) in Australia. It was acquired by TPG in 2015, as were its subsidiary providers Internode, Westnet, AAPT, Adam Internet, TransACT and Netspace.

But how does iiNet rate? We took the top ISPs and compared how fast their NBN speeds are, as well as customer satisfaction.

How fast are iiNet NBN plans?

The ACCC’s broadband provider performance program records the NBN speeds of Australian internet service providers and publishes its data quarterly. We take this data and apply a scoring methodology to help show you which providers come out best for speed across different NBN speed tiers and connection technologies.

iiNet did pretty well over the course of the 2021–2022 financial year, scoring 90%, though this was still a ways behind the top-scoring Launtel (96%) and the 94% scored by both Exetel and Telstra.

At the end of each financial year, we combine the ACCC’s speed data with our most recent ISP satisfaction survey to figure out which providers are the best in Australia.
